The SOFTBOX™ is a durable and resistant box made of a vinyl fabric. This product was created with behavioural facilities in mind. It is robust and can be twisted, flattened or pulled and retains its shape. Perfectly suited to housing residents’ personal belongings or clothing. This fire-retardant box can be printed with colours and artworks of your choosing, ensuring it fits well with the room scheme.

What’s the lead time?
Standard lead time is 4 weeks depending on quantity and capacity. This is confirmed at time of order.
What’s the fire rating of the SOFTBOX™?
The Balco SOFTBOX™ is tested to a standard of Crib 5 BS5852.
How do you clean the SOFTBOX™?
The GREENGUARD vinyl makes it easy to clean with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge (to protect the print design). If disinfection is required, use diluted chlorine products at 1000ppm chlorine.
Are the materials used non-allergenic?
Yes, the vinyl has a GREENGUARD certification. The inks contain no HAP's (hazardous air pollutants) or sensitisers, have no VOC's, require no special handling, are non-toxic and the synthetic polymers in the inks are non-allergenic.
What is the product warranty?
We provide a warranty on our products for a period of 24 months from delivery, the products shall be free from material defects in design, material & workmanship. However, this warranty does not apply to any defect in the product arising from circumstances described in clause 10.2 of the Balco Terms & Conditions.
Can the SOFTBOX™ be used in a wet room?
Yes, all seams on the SOFTBOX™ are welded to protect the internals from absorbing moisture.
Can the SOFTBOX™ be made in any size?
Yes, the SOFTBOX™ can be made to any size according to your cupboard spaces or wardrobes. They can also be used as bins and laundry baskets. Let us know your dimension and we can make it for you.

The SOFTBOX™ is extremely durable, has a high degree of flexibility and has great mechanical and dimensional stability over time. It can be flattened, twisted, pulled and will retain its original shape.
The exterior vinyl is high performance dirt resistant and cleanable. The surface finish makes it easy to clean. Just wipe it with water, a dampened sponge and a neutral soap to restore it’s original attractive appearance.
The strength of the fabric will hold up to daily service user use.
The SOFTBOX™ is Fire retardant and is tested to Crib 5 BS5852 specification. The foam characteristics release very little heat and only small quantities of smoke and toxicity during combustion.
The vinyl exterior and the water-based printing ink have a GREENGUARD certification and is certified as a low emission product suitable for indoor use. The water-based ink has stretch and durability and is GREEN GUARD Children’s and Schools certified. The inks contain no HAPs (hazardous air pollutants) or sensitizers, have no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds), requires no special handling, is non-toxic, non-flammable and non-combustible. The synthetic polymers used in the inks are non-allergenic.
The perforated holes in the bottom of the SOFTBOX™ are there to limit risk, for example, in the case a service user fills the SOFTBOX™ with water it drains away to limit suffocation risk.
